Get ready to experience the spookiest night of the year at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion On October 20, 2023, at 7:30 pm. Join us for Hocus Pocus Pops, an event even bigger than Halloween! Trick-or-treating, costumed kids, and terrifyingly delightful ghouls are just some of the spectacles you can expect. We’ll also have character pictures, the Halloween Express, a Goblin Parade, and other spine-tingling surprises–all to the sound of the sinister Houston Symphony.

KBR Kids Day

The annual Kids Day event is returning to Tony Marron Park in the East End on October 21 from 11 am – 3 pm, and it promises to be a thrilling day of fun for the entire community. From hands-on nature activities to birds of prey shows, rock climbing walls, dance performances, pumpkin painting, face painting, balloon artists, and even a Halloween costume parade – there’s something for everyone! 

Furthermore, anyone attending can join in on one of BBP’s walking tours or bayou-vac trash vacuum boat demonstrations to understand what this beloved gathering place truly offers. An exploratory scavenger hunt will also be available for those interested in getting to know their park better.

Explore space exploration’s spooky and thrilling side at Space Center Houston on October 21, 22, 28, and 29! Bring your family for a fun-filled adventure where you can show off your best Halloween costumes. Scream on the Green

Head to Discovery Green on Friday, October 27, for the exciting Scream on the Green! Come dressed to impress in your best costumes to win amazing prizes. We’ll have costume categories for all ages, including infants to 8 years old, 9 years old to 18 years old, adults over 18, family costumes, and even the best-dressed dog. Plus, you can enjoy music from DJ Mohawk Steve, roaming characters from Cirque Olympus, and a classic Halloween movie Hocus Pocus screening. 

Registration for the costume contest is open from 6:45–8:15 pm at the Anheuser-Busch stage. The contest begins at 7 pm, and winners will be announced at 9:30 pm. Prizes include tickets to Green Mountain Energy Ice at Discovery Green, gift cards to The Grove, an H-E-B Celebration Zone reservation, and more. Halloween Spooktacular for Kids

Halloween morning, Jones Hall transforms into a magical musical experience as an orchestra full of costumed musicians takes you on an unforgettable journey with music from your favorite movies and shows. Creepy Crawlers

Join us at Armand Bayou Nature Center on October 28 for our Annual Creepy Crawlers event, the perfect not-so-scary Halloween activity! You and a friend can explore a night of mystery in the great outdoors. We start with a peaceful stroll on the boardwalk, where you’ll learn about the bayou creatures, and then it’s off to the prairie for some spider sniffing, coyote howling, rotten log exploring, bat calling, and ghost greeting!

It’s an adventure your family won’t soon forget. And what’s more – we have 13 slots available between 6pm and 8pm every 10 minutes, so there’s plenty of time to go out and explore.

We’ve lined up a great schedule of activities, so there’s something for everyone. Monty the Magician will perform four shows throughout the day and give lessons on magic’s power. Little ones can get creative with spooktacular art projects, while older kids can challenge each other to thrilling games. And don’t forget to boogie down at our Monster Mash Boogie Bash Dance Parties!
