It is our Mission to help build the self-esteem and self worth of every child through our every action. Every child possesses the innate ability to learn and succeed. Our goal should simply be to lead children towards a happy, healthy and responsible lifestyle. While succeeding in building physical skills is important, teaching children to love themselves and learn is one of life’s greatest lessons. At Kidventure, we are more than just a camp!
Respect is unconditional. Without it there is no team.
Trustworthiness-integrity in words and deeds-is purely a personal struggle, which necessarily precedes the ability to deeply trust another which is necessary for empowerment. Focus on the Mission keeps everyone on the same path, towards the same light, but it all starts with the struggle to be trustworthy.
Leave your ego at the front door. Only through thinking of the “whole” will we succeed in the Mission.
Communication must be completely open and honest. Say what you believe, not what you want the
other person to hear. In disagreement or misunderstanding, speak directly to that person involved; one on one and
no one else. Seek first to understand, then to be understood.
Three types of growth must occur: personal growth, professional growth, and company growth. Either we grow or we wither. The choice is ours.

WHAT OUR STAFF HAVE TO SAY…
Counselor, Kidventure’s Camp Westlake
“Being voluntarily placed into this summer’s activities proved to be educational. It was great being taught some personal growth skills that I could not have learned without the effortless kindness and leadership from my fellow directors and counselors. I am always learning and do not claim to be perfect but being with Camp Westlake has brought me a little closer to my goals.”
Counselor, After School
“When I first started at Kidventure, I was super shy and I didn’t know if I would be able to break out of that shell. Here we are a year into my employment, I say “we” because Kidventure has been a family to me, and I believe I have grown in my confidence in working with children. I have found my calling in childcare and Kidventure has helped me realize that. I feel blessed to be apart of this family.”
Director, Kidventure’s Camp Sweetwater
My experience with KV this summer was “just as wonderful as last year. I love all of the people that I worked with and I think everyone was fantastic. I just love KV and Sweetwater and our kiddos so much and I am so so thankful for this opportunity for the past two years. I hope that I can do it for the next 10. Love and miss you all already!”
