SCHOLARSHIPS

Kidventure sets aside money to help provide camp to those children who for financial, medical, or situational reasons need assistance with camp and after school tuition. The funds for our program are in the form of two scholarships, The Power-Wright Scholarship, and the James Lawton Scholarship. Both scholarships have equal funds. The process to be considered for Financial Aid involves completing the form below. Please note important deadlines in the form.

POWER-WRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP

Scott Power and Connie Wright have combined over 58 years of service to Kidventure and more importantly, the thousands of campers they have impacted. From the early days of Kidventure Camp, their dedication and commitment to excellence and care for children helped shape the program that is Kidventure today. Both leaders exemplify the highest standards and values at Kidventure and have helped shape the work ethic and abilities of hundreds of team members whom they have mentored.

LAWHON SCHOLARSHIP

In December of 2023, James Lawhon passed at the early age of 21. Previously, James had served as an inspiring and integral part of the Kidventure Camp team. James’ energy was unceasing, his love for kids was unwavering, and his contribution to the sheer happiness our campers experienced in his presence was immeasurable. James’ love for kids motivated him to become a teacher before his death. He will be remembered for always embracing camp and the power to transform the lives of others with his passion and life.

2025 Kidventure Summer Camp Financial Application

Please complete all fields to be considered for financial aid. Submission of this form does not constitute receipt of aid. All applications must be received by Tuesday, April 1st, 2025. There are no exceptions. Decisions will be made by 5 pm on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025. You will be notified via email regarding your application. Please note financial aid will only apply to tuition for Summer camp and add-ons, such as camp shirts, lunch, and Post Camp.

Your Camp Team

The most important factor in your child's camp experience is the quality of their camp team. Without a doubt, we recruit, hire, train, and maintain the most qualified and talented staff anywhere.

  • All Adult Team: Most are certified teachers or education students
  • Low Ratios (1:6 Discoverers and 1:12 Explorers)
  • Must have a driving desire to make a difference in the world
  • All possess a fanatical amount of spirit & energy
  • All are CPR/First Aid certified for infant, child, and adult
  • All complete a state-approved sexual abuse prevention course
  • Every team member goes through annual criminal background and sex offender registry checks
