EXPLORERS: ENTERING 1-5 GRADE
Camp should provide opportunities to try new things, make new friends, and develop a greater sense of self-worth. This is what our Explorer program is all about. Divided into small age groups, campers participate and are involved in a variety of camp activities designed for fun, learning, and engagmement.
WHAT WE DO HAS PURPOSE AND MEANING
Kidventure is focused on prioritizing the mental and physical health of every child. Our curriculum is purposefully and intentionally designed to inspire growth, build confidence, and create meaningful experiences that help kids thrive. Every activity is crafted to encourage creativity, exploration, physical activity, and reflection, fostering well-rounded development. By combining fun with purpose, we ensure each camper leaves with lasting skills, memories, and a stronger sense of self.
THE 4 CORNERSTONES AND ACTIVITIES
The 4 Cornerstones are essential to the growth and development of your child. Those Cornerstones are Creativity, Exploration, Physical Activity, and Reflection. Each is instrumental in your child’s growth and drives everything that we do at camp. We have taken the power of camp as a platform to help develop the physical, social, and academic potential of each and every child – in an environment that is exhilarating, fun, and memorable. Every game, activity, and event at camp is designed to foster one or more of these pillars.
1. CREATIVITY
Creativity in camp means using imagination, pushing boundaries, and finding new ways to solve problems while celebrating individuality.
Activities like exploring Creativity Centers, experimenting with Curriculum + Projects or engaging in creating Game Creation empower kids to express their ideas and lead others. This freedom helps them discover their voice, contribute meaningfully to the group, and build confidence.
By embracing self-expression, camps celebrate each child’s uniqueness and foster a deeper appreciation for diversity.

2. EXPLORATION
Exploration is the opportunity to push beyond our own perceptions and discover more about the world and ourselves.
When there is no constraint on outcomes, the potential for growth and self-discovery is boundless. Exploration Centers, Field Trips, and STEAM activities invite kids to delve into open-ended experiences, sparking curiosity and fostering growth in every aspect of their development
These exploration-driven experiences form the foundation for intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth. For Explorers this journey of discovery fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and resilience, preparing them for success both in school and in life.

3. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Developing a healthy lifestyle and staying active is easiest when it feels natural and fun. Activities like Gaga Ball, Rock Climbing, and Team Building keep Explorers moving while fostering a love for adventure and physical activity.
These intentional activities not only promote physical health but also help Explorers build essential skills like sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership in an encouraging and collaborative environment.
Along the way, they strengthen positive mental and emotional well-being, laying a well-rounded foundation for continued growth and success.

4. REFLECTION
The opportunity to reflect is essential for personal growth and development. Reflection encourages Explorers to pause intentionally and consider how and why things happen, fostering insight, metacognition, and deeper learning.
Activities like Ribbons, reflecting on Process Art, and Small Group discussions help Explorers develop empathy and character by processing their experiences, understanding others’ perspectives, and recognizing that both success and failure are valuable parts of learning.
Through reflection, Explorers build personal strategies for the future while laying a strong foundation for emotional and social growth.
