Discoverers: Ages 3-5
Where Confidence Takes Root
Our Discoverer Camp is crafted to be active, inspiring, and nurturing. Providing an atmosphere where our young campers can grow healthy, learn creatively, and develop greater self-confidence is paramount to what we do.
What We Do Has Purpose and Meaning
Kidventure prioritizes the mental and physical health of every child. Our curriculum is purposefully and intentionally designed to inspire growth, build confidence, and create meaningful experiences that help kids thrive. Every activity is crafted to encourage creativity, exploration, physical activity, and reflection, fostering well-rounded development. By combining fun with purpose, we ensure each camper leaves with lasting skills, memories, and a stronger sense of self.
Our Curriculum: The Four Cornerstones
Our program is built on four essential cornerstones: Creativity, Exploration, Physical Activity, and Reflection. Every activity is intentionally designed to foster these traits, ensuring time at camp translates to physical and social development for your child
1. Creativity
Finding Your Voice.
Creativity at camp is about using imagination to solve problems and express new ideas. Through activities like storytelling and process art, our young Discoverer campers learn to trust their unique perspective. This experience builds the confidence to speak up and contribute to the group.
ACTIVITIES
Creativity Centers – Imagination Centers – Process Art – Music and Movement – Team Building –
2. Exploration
Learning Through Discovery.
Exploration is how young children make sense of the world and their place in it. Through open-ended activities like KV Lives, Story Time with Novel Effect, and Exploration Centers, Discoverers engage in play without the pressure of a specific outcome. This freedom builds essential social and intellectual skills, turning daily curiosity into a foundation for success in school.
ACTIVITIES
Playground and Free Play – Imagination Centers – Process Art – Music and Movement – Exploration Centers – Guest Speakers
3. Physical Activity
Movement for Purpose.
For Discoverers, physical activity is about connecting movement with joy. Through active play like Gaga Ball, playground time, and Music & Movement, children develop coordination and burn energy in a structured environment. These shared experiences introduce early concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship, laying the groundwork for a healthy, active life.
ACTIVITIES
Rock Climbing – Archery – Gaga Ball – Field Sports – Fine Motor Skills – Gross Motor Skills – Camp Games – Splash Day – Playground – Team Building – And More!
4. Reflection
Building Emotional Awareness.
Reflection gives Discoverers the space to pause and process their day. Through calming activities like Yoga, Circle Time, and the daily Ribbons ceremony, children learn to identify their feelings and connect with those around them. These moments transform simple experiences into early lessons in empathy and character, helping them navigate both success and challenge with resilience.
