Shell Freedom Over Texas

Eleanor Tinsley Park
901 Bagby St
Houston, TX

Freedom Over Texas will return to an in-person event this year. The last two years’ events were held indoors with a limited audience because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year on Monday, July 4, you can bring the whole family and enjoy six hours of activities, tradition, and live concert stages along Allen Parkway. This significant event will feature local, regional, and national entertainment and will be topped off with a musically choreographed, “Texas-sized” fireworks finale. This year’s event is unique because it’s also the 60th anniversary of NASA Johnson Space Center’s presence in Houston. So there’ll be virtual reality field trips, NASA astronaut meets and greets, and other NASA exhibits and activities. The show starts at 4 pm; $10 for general admissions, and children five and under are free; please visit their website for complete details. freedomovertexas.org
