Be a part of Austin’s largest Independence Day party on July 4 at Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores). The H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks will feature patriotic music by the Austin Symphony with a grand finale fireworks show over Lady Bird Lake. Watch the action from the Long Center or South First Street Bridge. Be sure to arrive there early. Other bridge viewing alternatives such as Congress Bridge and Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge also exist. The community is invited to enjoy America’s freedom at Hill Country Galleria’s annual Independence Day Festival. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public and will feature live music that is taking place at the Central Plaza with performances by Two Tons of Steel, Southern Angels, Rock Bottom String Band, Robin Mordecai, and The Saddle Sores. There are also water games, kids’ rides, other activities, and more than 60 arts sellers spread throughout the property, event treat vendors, and a stunning fireworks display to end the big evening. In addition, Vista Brewing will be back for a one-day get-together with their mobile beer station, curating specialty brews. Attendees are also welcomed to dine in or purchase from the Galleria’s restaurant as well as food choices and are encouraged to bring seats and blankets to enjoy live music that will start at 4 PM in the Central Plaza garden.
