With the perfect weather, the many beautiful parks and the beautiful spots in Austin, there is no better way to spend this time of the year than to take your family on a good family picnic. All around town, visitors can see lawns with green grass and tables under shades. It is advisable to go out and enjoy the fresh air while the summer seasons with extreme heat are still away. 1. Zilker Metropolitan Park

Zilker Metropolitan area is one of the most famous tourist parks in Austin. It is an appropriate place to visit with your family because there are different events to be enjoyed. With the three hundred and fifty-one acre-space, visitors can spread a blanket near the bike trail, the Ann and Roy Butler Hike, or even on the lawn. This urban center also has rows of benches at the Pecan Grove and the Rock Garden where visitors can sit for their al fresco dining.


2. Mount Bonnell

If a parent wants to enjoy the beauty of Austin together with his or her family, they should consider visiting the top of Mount Bonnell. From its highest point, one can view structures that are miles away. For example, they can see as the Texas Hill Country as it escalates higher and higher in the western horizon. 3. Texas State Capitol


This vacation spot is filled with activities throughout the year. For one hundred and eighty days every year, the members of the Texas Legislature are in the old pink building, and hundreds of people are there. The beautiful green grounds have monuments and benches. They are placed there to enable people who visit the building to remember the significant people and events that contributed to the growth of Texas. 4.The Ramsey Neighborhood Park

There is adequate amount of shade, so it’s a great destination for an afternoon picnic away from downtown Austin. 5.Mueller Lake Park


This privately maintained garden is an urban oasis located across Simond Avenue. Visitors can easily access in areas near Mueller. The best thing about visiting this place is that one does not have to carry their food. Some trailers sell food and families are welcome to purchase meals, enjoy them, as they enjoy the beautiful view.


6. Ricky Guerrero Park and Splash Pad


On a warm day, people can visit this place together with their families, play in the pools as they relax under the shade trees. Your kids can jump and play at the water sprinkling points. After the adults and children are exhausted from the exercises, there is a garden where they can sit down and relax.


7. Dick Nichols District Park

8. Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve

This free public park is filled with bueatiful peacocks that roam the gardens. There is a beautiful histoic cottage that was originally built in the 1870s. Here you can enjoy a picnic in the shade while listening to tranquil fountains while you admire the bueaty of the beauiful peacocks.


9. Auditorium Shores


Located on the south bank of Lady Bird Lake, the Auditorium shores are some of the urban parks in Austin. Several musical events are held here. Most of them are free, meaning that visitors can have as much fun as they want without worrying about money. On the lake, they can also participate in physical activities such as jogging.


10. Barton Creek Greenbelt


For some people, having a good family outing involves escaping the busy town life and getting lost in nature. If this is your idea, then consider visiting the Barton Creek Greenbelt.
