1. Boo On The Boardwalk October 4th – 31st
Looking for fun activities for the whole family with children of any age? Consider checking out Boo on the Boardwalk. Each weekend comes with a set of events, trick-or-treats, and live music to get you to the party mood. Kids can play around at the Little Boo Haunted while adults spend time at Dungeon of Doom Haunted House. 2. 45th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival October 5th to December 1st
Looking to be part of the most celebrated Renaissance theme event in the nation? Join over half a million visitors at the Todd Mission in Texas for this year’s festival. Set on a 55-acre village, this nine-weekend event lines over 50 world-renowned entertainers, 350 on-site shops, and several more, for an assured feel of a 16th Century European village. Ticket prices are $ 12 for children ages 5 – 12 and $24 for adults. Weekend passes cost $42. www.texrenfest.com
3. Tomball Bluegrass Festival October 26th
Pack a picnic and your instrument and head over to Tomball’s historic 1907 Railroad Depot for a day of old-style roots music with performances from Lone Star Bluegrass Band, Travers Chandler & Avery County, and The Coleman Brothers. 4. Texian Market Days October 26th
Take the family out to George Ranch Historical Park and discover more than 150 years of Texas history! Enjoy a vintage car show, historical game, food vendors, and much more. 5. Light the Night Walk October 26th
Are you looking to attend an event where you can touch people’s lives in Houston? Light the Night Walk is an event organized by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help raise funds for cancer patients. The evening walk at the Hermann Square at City Hall is the culmination of the fund drive where you can join the like-minded people to support a just course. www.lightthenight.org/events/houston
6. Boo Bash 2019 October 27
Head out to Traders Village on October 27th from 12 pm-4 pm for a monster-size party. There will be live entertainment, activities for the whole family, and trick-or-treating for kids aged 12 and under. Some of the activities kids can partake in will include face painting, kids Halloween costume contest, and the volunteer Fire Department will have several fire trucks on display throughout the village for kids to tour. 7. 24th Annual Children’s Festival November 9th to 10th
Help create amazing memories for your child by taking them to the meet and greet of the Useful Engine at the Annual Children’s Festival. This fun-filled weekend is full of activities and performances to get your child the needed treatment. Tickets are $10 per person, inclusive of all activities. 8. Via Colori Street Festival November 23th & 24th
This colorful street fair features over 200 local, national, and international artists that create impressive chalk murals on the streets of downtown Houston. Enjoy live music on three different stages, food and beverage vendors at this two-day event heald Downtown at City Hall. 9. HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade November 28th
Join us Thanksgiving morning for a Houston tradition that dates back to 1949; it will have you embracing the holiday spirit. The 70th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade takes place in downtown Houston and is free to the public. 10. 100th Annual Mayor’s Holiday Celebration November 30th
Head over to Hermann Square at City Hall to kick off the Christmas season with music, lighting the official tree, Santa, and family fun. This event is free and open to the public, and they invite you to bring a new unwrapped toy to help make the holidays brighter for a child this season. Drop off your toy at the Reliant booth, and for everyone that brings a toy will receive a light-up Santa.
