Leads Teen Camps

INSPIRING YOUNG LEADERS FOR 30 YEARS

Entering 6th-9th grade

Middle school is a crossroads in which opportunities arise to set our young teens on a path toward leadership and strong character development. Our Leads camp was designed with exactly this in mind. Through community service, adventure, and focused fun, Leads provides every opportunity for your young teen to be part of something special, and to gain the confidence and skills to be a self-sufficient individual.

Right now our teens need the opportunity to reconnect, to feel confident, and to experience the joy of life. Through community service, adventure, and focused fun, Leads provides every chance for your young teen to be part of something special, and to gain the confidence and skills to be happy and successful.

WHAT WE DO HAS A PURPOSE AND MEANING

Kidventure is dedicated to prioritizing the mental, physical, and emotional growth of middle school students. Our curriculum is purposefully designed to inspire leadership, build confidence, and create meaningful experiences that empower kids to thrive in a pivotal stage of their development. Every activity in LEADS is crafted to encourage creativity, exploration, teamwork, and self-reflection, fostering well-rounded growth and preparing students for the challenges ahead. By combining fun with purpose, LEADS ensures each participant leaves with lasting leadership skills, unforgettable memories, and a stronger sense of identity and responsibility.

The 4 Cornerstones are essential to the growth and development of your child. Those Cornerstones are Creativity, Exploration, Physical Activity, and Reflection. Each is instrumental in your child’s growth and drives everything that we do at camp. We have taken the power of camp as a platform to help develop the physical, social, and academic potential of each and every child – in an environment that is exhilarating, fun, and memorable. Every game, activity, and event at camp is designed to foster one or more of these pillars.

1. CREATIVITY

Creativity in camp means using imagination, pushing boundaries, and finding new ways to solve problems while celebrating individuality.

Activities like exploring Outdoor Leadership activities, understanding with Character Building, or engaging in tasks for Team Building empower kids to express themselves, inspire others, and grow as confident, thoughtful leaders. This freedom helps them discover their voice, contribute meaningfully to the group, and build confidence.

By celebrating self-expression, LEADS helps students appreciate diversity and develop the skills needed to thrive as well-rounded young adults.

ACTIVITIES

2. EXPLORATION

Exploration in the LEADS program means pushing beyond comfort zones to discover more about the world and oneself.

Through activities like Curriculum + Projects and Field Trips, students engage in hands-on, open-ended experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth.

These opportunities foster intellectual, social, and emotional development, laying the foundation for well-rounded, thoughtful leadership and success in life. Exploration becomes the catalyst for learning and growth!

ACTIVITIES

3. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Developing a healthy lifestyle and staying active is easiest when it feels natural and fun. Activities like Sport of the WeekGame CreationRock Wall, and Archery keep students active while fostering a love for movement and adventure.

These intentional activities not only promote physical health but also help kids build lifelong skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership in a supportive team environment.

Along the way, they also strengthen positive mental and emotional well-being, creating a well-rounded foundation for growth.

ACTIVITIES

4. REFLECTION

The opportunity to reflect is essential for personal growth and development. Reflection allows kids to pause intentionally and consider how and why things happen, fostering insight, metacognition, and complex learning.

Activities like Corps DiscussionLEADS Lounge, and Affirmation Stars help kids develop empathy and character by encouraging them to process their experiences, understand others’ perspectives, and recognize that both success and failure are integral parts of learning.

By reflecting on their successes and challenges, students build strategies for future growth while strengthening their emotional and social foundations, preparing them to thrive as thoughtful, resilient leaders.
