Usually, on fathers day, you would pass by the store and pick up a favorite drink or gift then hand it over. But how about going an extra mile this year and doing something special? With fathers day right around the corner, you might want to find an exciting activity, something he will enjoy participating in while bonding with kids or the family. Father’s Skate Free

On June 16th from 7-10PM grab your roller skates and take dad out for free roller skating at this south Austin hole in the wall skating rink. Austin Roller Rink allows you to bring your skates or has some for you to rent. Spend the day skating to current and classic songs under strobe lights or take a break and grab a snack from the snack bar or test your skills on some classic arcade games.

Take dad out to Darcy’s Donkey on June 16th at 11 AM for a delicious fish fry. Dad can enjoy fish his choice of fish while listening to live music and enjoying the day out with his family.

The AACA annual antique car show has been running for over 15 years and usually has over 300 vehicles it will be held at Winters State Office Building 701 W. 51st St., Austin, TX 78751 on June 16th.  Food is available for purchase at the onsite food trucks or take a break for the cars and treat dad to a meal at some of the local restaurants that are in walking distance.

Father Daughter Run

Join Athleta and Austin Trail Running Company on June 16th from 7 AM for a 4.5-mile no-drop run. Get ready for a 75-minute run! Runners will wait for each other at intersections so no one will be left behind and all levels of fairness are welcome. Meet us at Bull Creek District Park and be ready for some run!

Father’s Day Yoga Brunch & Boating at Ski Shores
