Jake was born and raised in Wauconda, IL and graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in History. His Camp life started in the suburbs of Chicago in 2013 and has worked at camps in Central Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Michigan before moving to Texas in 2017. Jake started with KV as a counselor in 2018 and has worked as the Director of Hazardous Activities (better known as Dr. Danger), and as a manager. He has also taught 11th grade US History for three years before joining KV full time. On August 1st, 2020 Jake married his wife Libby with whom he has cats Louie and Scout, and a dog Halas (aka Hal).
When not living the KV life, Jake can be found cheering for the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks, at one of the National Parks, reading, or watching the same TV shows over and over.
