Overnight Camp Counselor

All In. All Day. All Overnight.

Overnight Camp Counselors are responsible for the care, supervision, and engagement of campers throughout the overnight camp experience. Counselors serve as positive role models while creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for campers during activities, evening programs, and overnight cabin supervision.

Overnight Camp Sessions

Applicants must be available for one or more of the following sessions:

Safari (8-12 yrs old): June 29 – July 4
Echo (13-16 yrs old): July 11 – July 19
Quest (8-12 yrs old): July 26 – August 3

Responsibilities:

Supervise and care for campers at all times, including overnight cabin supervision
Lead and participate in daily camp activities, evening programs, and special events
Support campers’ social, emotional, and physical well-being
Ensure camper safety and follow all camp policies and procedures
Assist with meals, transitions, bedtime routines, and morning wake-ups
Communicate effectively with fellow counselors and camp leadership
Help foster teamwork, responsibility, independence, and confidence among campers

Qualifications:

18 years of age or older
Enjoy working with children; prior camp or youth experience preferred
Ability to stay overnight at camp for the duration of assigned session(s)
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Dependable, flexible, and positive attitude

Overnight Experience

Overnight Counselors live the full camp experience alongside their campers – from morning routines to evening programs and cabin time. With a strong focus on consistency, care, and leadership, counselors create a safe, supportive, and high-energy environment where kids can grow in confidence and independence.
