Our Current Policy Regarding Covid-19
March 4, 2021,
Recently, Governor Greg Abbott issued an order rescinding the statewide mask mandate, effective March 10, 2021. Kidventure has been working hard since the beginning of the pandemic to make decisions that will keep our families, campers, and staff healthy and safe in all our programs. This last fall, we had to start planning for what summer 2021 might look like with Covid-19. We made the decision then, to plan so that we could run camp even if the pandemic was still very much present among us.
Today, the general trends are beginning to look more favorable; however, we know that Covid-19 is still a very real risk in our community. At this time, Kidventure will continue to adhere to our current face mask requirement for our staff, after school, and spring break camps. The situation with Covid-19 is constantly changing, so as we move towards summer 2021, Kidventure will continue to monitor and seek council from professional health organizations such as the American Association of Pediatrics, CDC, and our medical advisory team to make any necessary adjustments to our policies to keep our families, campers, and staff safe. We are eager to return to “normal” like everyone, but we must do so with the safety of everyone in mind.
Please refer to the 2021 Parent Handbook for complete details on our COVID-19 policies.
