Staff Qualifications
All of our counselors have the highest level of training available for summer day camps. On top of our rigorous screening and selection process, all Kidventure Staff meet or exceed the following requirements:
- CPR / First Aid Certification for Infant, Child, and Adult
- Must be an Adult, over the age of 18
- Satisfactory Completion of State-Approved Sexual Abuse Prevention Course
- Must submit to and pass Full Criminal Background Check
- Must submit to and pass Full Sex Offender Registry Check
- Completion of Kidventure All-Staff Training
- Completion of Kidventure Site-Specific Training
- Completion of in Kidventure Special Needs Training
Transportation
All transportation for field trips takes place on luxury tour buses, equipped with A/C, entertainment systems, restrooms, and professionally licensed drivers. On the one hand, the large size, height, and mass of these vehicles makes them the safest way to transport our campers. On the other, it makes each KV camper feel like a rockstar!
State Licensed Camp Programs
Every single Kidventure Camp location is individually licensed and inspected by the State of Texas. Kidventure prides itself on exceeding state requirements at almost every level, specifically in the level of our staff’s training staff and the low ratios we maintain.
Counselor to Camper Ratio
Kidventure operates at or below a 1-to-10 counselor to camper ratio; no exceptions. This gives all of our campers the highest level of supervision possible in the normal day camp setting.
Emergency Planning and Preparedness
Every camp site has a working relationship with a doctor on call and the nearest hospital, and every staff member is first aid and CPR certified through Kidventure. By controlling our CPR Certification, we are able to ensure the highest level of staff preparedness and to address the special circumstances that can arise in the day camp setting.

If there is one thing we know from 17 years of camp, it’s that a 3 year old, a 7 year old, and a 13 year old need completely different things developmentally, physically, socially, and emotionally. Kidventure is designed to take your child from the early stages of Pre-K all the way through early high school, with programs designed for each stage of your child’s life which address their unique needs at that point in time.
