From One Parent to Another
15 years…
Over this time, we’ve learned a few things about summer camp, families, and our kids. First, we’ve learned that every child deserves to be treated with the greatest amount of respect and dignity. We might have many kids in camp, but each one is a unique individual. Second, no matter how much our world speeds up, the opportunity to pause and let our kids be just that (kids), has never been more important. And third, at the end of the camp day, after all the games, project, events, talent shows, songs, and field trips have taken place, what camp boils down to most is… relationships. The quality of these relationships we help foster and the positive influence we impart on our campers is what Kidventure is simply all about.
As parents we naturally look for opportunities to teach our kids real life lessons and lasting values. We understand that in order to shape a kind and respected adult we must first teach our kids those same qualities when they are young. If camp’s prime focus is not accomplishing this, then it falls desperately short of its potential.
Kidventure has always considered itself more than a camp. Kidventure is this special chance to come together with friends and role models. It’s an opportunity to learn amazing things, accomplish great feats with others, and realize your innate importance in this world. What other program provides this while having the time of your life?
As we celebrate our 15 years of Kidventure, we are humbled by the number of families we continue serve and children we help grow. It is truly a privilege to be a part of your family’s life and we look forward to providing even more opportunity in the next 15 years. From the entire Kidventure family, thank you.
