Eligibility

Safari will take a limited number of campers, a maximum of 25 girls and 25 boys. Applicants must be boys or girls between the ages of 8 and 14. Since our inception, we have limited each session to only 50 campers. This assures that our campers get valuable attention and the opportunity to form many new friendships. Our campers come from all over Texas and as far away as Mexico, France, and Hong Kong!

Transportation

Transportation to and from camp from both Houston and Austin, Texas is provided and included in the price. We travel on full size luxury buses equipped with air-conditioning and rest rooms.

Meals

All meals are served at the King Dining Hall. Meals are served cafeteria style with salad and sandwich bar.

Medical Considerations

All staff are 1st Aid and CPR Certified. In case of medical emergency or sickness, children will be transported to Kerrville Hospital for care.

Registration and Tuition

The Kidventure Registration form must be completed and a $100 deposit is required to reserve your child’s spot. This deposit is non-refundable beginning in the 2010 camp season. The cost for each one-week summer safari session is $695 and two-week session is $1575. The final balance is due no later than May 1, 2010.

Safari Counselors

Like all of our Day Camps, what makes our Safari Overnight Camps so much fun and memorable are our counselors. Our Safari Team can’t wait until Safari rolls around for another year. Their experience at Mo-Ranch, knowledge of the outdoors, and their unwavering commitment to having FUN, have made them famous with our kids. They think this is the best job in the world. All Safari Counselors possess the following qualifications:

• All-Adult Team
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Several Years Experience Working Day Camp
• Extensive Outdoor Skills and Knowledge
• Criminal Background Checks
