Camp Racquet Club: World Party

August 2-6: Mission Accomplished: World Party

worldparty Our Mission: A successful mission deserves a memorable party. We’re celebrating our mission around the globe by throwing a week-long party highlighting all our adventures and accomplishments. Can you say, “Mission Accomplished?”

We need your camper’s immunization record!
If you have not already provided us with a copy of your child’s immunization record, please fax to 713.864.5245. We need it in order for your child to attend camp!

Explorer & Adventurer Highlights (Entering 1st Grade-Age 13)

Monday Campers will meet your counselors, play get to know you games, make group banners, and go swimming.
Tuesday Campers will practice tennis, make a phenakistoscope, and play Ship Deck Shore
Wednesday Campers will play volleyball, play kick ball, go swimming, and make decorations
Thursday Field Trip: Stone Moves Rock Gym. NOTE: You MUST bring a signed waiver for Stone Moves to camp BY THURSDAY for your camper to be able to participate in rock climbing. CLICK HERE to print.
Friday Campers will play tennis, have a DJ World Dance Party, and put on our talent show at 2:30, closing ceremonies to follow.

Weekly Activities Also Include: Opening Ceremonies, Athletics, Art Projects, Science, Camp Games, Closing Ceremonies and More…

Parents, Join us on Friday:
You are invited to attend our talent show and awards assembly on Friday at 2:30pm in the Howe House. Please enjoy this fun and lively show and feel free to bring other family members! We look forward to seeing you!

Special Notes for This Week

  • We must have a signed “Stone Moves” waiver for your camper BY THURSDAY for them to be able to participate in rock climbing on Thursday. Please click here to download and print.
  • On Monday and Wednesday, please send your camper with a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen and sandals for swimming.
  • On Tuesday and Friday, please send a tennis racquet or we will provide one.
  • Please check the Lost & Found for any items that your camper might be missing. We will be donating any items not picked up by the end of the week.

General Camp Information

Camp Lunch Options:

1. Provide your Own Lunches for the Week
2. Lunch for the Week: Cost $30. The cost for lunches for the week is $30 and may not be broken into individual days.
3. Just Chick-fil-A Friday: Cost $6

The meal plan and Chick-fil-A Friday must be purchased at least one week in advance of the start of the camp week and must be paid for by that date. NO substitutions to the menu are available for either program. Kidventure also provides snack and drink to our campers each day. All snacks are peanut and peanut by-product free.

Important Drop off and Pick Up Notice

Racquet Club: located at 10709 Memorial Drive, just east of Voss Road. Upon passing the security booth turn right and continue to the back of the club to Howe House and our camp headquarters.

Arrival and Pick Up Procedures

On your first day of camp for the summer, a parent must accompany the camper into camp for drop-off. If registering for multiple campsites, you must accompany your camper on the first day at each location.

Drop off: 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM
Pick Up: 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM (There is a $1 per minute late fee after 3:45 PM)

What to Wear and Bring to Camp

  • Comfortable shorts
  • Tennis shoes and socks (please no flip-flops)
  • Hat or cap
  • Sunscreen
  • Lunch (If bringing your own)
  • A backpack for all your stuff

Please Do Not Bring To Camp:

  • Toys or electronics (This includes Game Boys, Nintendo, and Ipod)
  • Mobile Phones
