Camp Bridge Point: World Party

August 2-6: Mission Accomplished: World Party

worldparty Our Mission: A successful mission deserves a memorable party. We’re celebrating our mission around the globe by throwing a week-long party highlighting all our adventures and accomplishments. Can you say, “Mission Accomplished?”

We need your camper’s immunization record!
If you have not already provided us with a copy of your child’s immunization record, please fax to 512.263.4645. We need it in order for your child to attend camp!

Discoverer Highlights (Ages 3-5)

Monday In celebration of our earth we will be recognizing the diversity of various parts of the world. In honor of the flora that make up our food and vegetation, your discoverer will be planting their own plants. Also, wear your craziest hat.
Tuesday In recognition of the mighty sun your discoverer will be making a beautiful sun catcher. Come in your coolest pajama pants its going to be a comfy day.
Wednesday Today we will be examining the power of water by enjoying Splash day and creating our very own rainbows. Dress up theme: silly socks!
Thursday WOW we are human – let’s make life size cut-outs to decorate! Dress up theme: Crazy hair!
Friday KV Live will be joining us for a Dance Party! To celebrate the biological diversity of the world your discoverer will be creating their own unique animals from recyclables! Our final theme will be backwards and inside out!

Weekly Activities Also Include: Early Childhood Centers, Art Projects, Science Experiments, Motor Skills, Fine Arts, and More….

You are invited to attend our Talent Show and Awards Ceremony on Friday at 2:30pm in the cafeteria. Please come enjoy this fun and lively show and feel free to bring other family members! We look forward to seeing you!

Special Note for This Week:

  • WEDNESDAY is Splash Day! Please wear a swim suit, towel, sun screen and water shoes.
  • All summer long we will be conducting a penny drive competition. All proceeds will be donated to The National Wildlife Federation in order to help counter the tragedy brought out by the oil spill.

Explorer & Adventurer Highlights (Entering 1st Grade-Age 13)

Monday Get ready to travel the world this week, starting with a paper mache world of our own! To add a little more fun, be sure to wear your craziest hat!
Tuesday We will be doing some of our favorite projects and games from countries around the world, and doing them in comfy style – it’s pajama pants day!
Wednesday Gear up for water fun and head out to SPLASH DAY! We’ll have sprinklers, slip n’ slides, water guns, and more. Remember to bring your swim gear, towels, sunscreen, and for added flair, silly socks!
Thursday Are you ready for some bowling? We will be going to Dart Bowl for some crazy bowling fun, complete with a crazy hair do. Please arrive on time today, as field trip buses will depart shortly after the camp day begins. Remember to wear socks!
Friday It’s the last day of camp for the summer, so we’ll be celebrating with a KV Live DJ Dance Party! Put on your dancing shoes, as well as your clothes backwards and inside out for our silliest day of fun. All friends and family members are invited to our End of the Summer Variety Show at 2:30 pm in the cafeteria. Come see what your kids have been up to all week, and join in on the fun!

A Note from the Director:
It’s been a long summer of fun and games, and I’m sad that it has to come to an end. All of your children are wonderful campers, and we hope to see them back next summer for another year of Kidventure! From Lisa and myself, thank you for all of your support – we couldn’t have done any of this without you! -Ann

General Camp Information

Camp Lunch Options:

1. Provide your Own Lunches for the Week
2. Lunch for the Week: $30, may not be broken into individual days (see below for more info!)
3. Just Chick-fil-A Friday: $6

Chick-fil-A Friday must be purchased by Wednesday of the camp week and must be paid for by that date. Bountiful Bakery’s lunch program must be purchased and paid for no later than the Friday before camp begins. NO substitutions to the menu are available for either program. Kidventure also provides snack and drink to our campers each day. All snacks are peanut and peanut by-product free.

Bountiful Bakery Lunch Program

This is a summer of firsts for Kidventure! This is our first summer to offer a lunch program for your convenience, brought to you by Bountiful Bakery. For $30 a week, your camper can receive delicious, healthy meals every day. Our campers this week have absolutely loved it. Click here to see the menu!

Please call the office at 512.263.8992 if you wish to add lunches for next week! Please let us know ASAP as we are unable to add lunches once the camp week is underway.

Amy Melsa Photography – Providing Professional Camp Photos of Your Camper!

Kidventure has partnered with Amy Melsa to provide you with the chance to purchase photographs of your camper as they experience Kidventure. Each week, photos of Kidventure campers will be posted on Amy’s password protected website. Photos will be posted on each Monday following each camp session and categorized by campsite and date for your convenience.

Important Drop Off and Pick Up Information

Bridge Point Elementary School I 6401 Cedar St. I Austin, TX 78746
After turning on Cedar Street from 360, enter the second parking lot on your left into Bridge Point Elementary. For regular camp drop off and pick up, we will escort to and from your car at the covered drop off. If you are dropping off for Pre or Post Camp, we ask that you park and escort your child in to the Cafeteria located up the covered walkway.

Arrival and Pick Up Procedures
On your first day of camp for the summer, a parent must accompany the camper into camp for drop-off. If registering for multiple campsites, you must accompany your camper on the first day at each location. During pre and post camp all parents must park and escort their camper to the sign-in/out desk. All Drop off and Pick up will take place in the school cafeteria.

Pre-Camp Drop off: 7:00 AM to 8:45 AM
Regular Drop off: 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM
Regular Pick Up: 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM
Post-Camp Pick Up: 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM (There is a $1 per minute late fee after 6 PM)

What to Wear and Bring to Camp

  • Comfortable shorts
  • Tennis shoes and socks (please no flip-flops)
  • Hat or cap
  • Sunscreen
  • Lunch (If bringing your own)
  • A backpack for all your stuff
  • Blanket or Sleeping Pad for quiet time (Discoverers Only age 3-Entering K).

Please Do Not Bring To Camp:

  • Toys or electronics (This includes Game Boys, Nintendo, and Ipod)
  • Mobile Phones
